RE: fibreglass "egg shaped" tt

As for your trailer sitting outside during the winter weather, It will be fine, as others have said a quick wax and it will shine up real pretty for you. I have seen some "Sweet" 30 year old fiberglass trailers. I can't say the same with 30 year old stick built trailers/class A's etc. I know I have owned more stick builts than fiberglass. Rvbella

RE: T@B Question

In our recent search for a travel trailer, we checked out the Tab, I love the retro look, but we wanted a full bath. Looked at the TADA, I actually think the TADA is smaller than the Tab. If they would only make a Tab with a bath I would have bought one. We choose a Casita and couldn't be happier! Love it! It's a lookie lou magnet as well, and we enjoy all the nice people we give tours to. RvBella

RE: Gas Stations open on Christmas

I think even in small towns there are at least a gas station or two open. And since now days you can pay at the pump, they don't even have to stay open. Happy Travels, Rvbella

RE: unusual trailer

Check out /www.fiberglassrv.com You will find more info about them there. As for a Casita, I own one, it's not tiny, it's just right for us. Of course it's not huge either but, hello we're camping, enjoying the great outdoors. Grew up with all different types, size rv's and have owned two Class A's over 30 foot but I have to say, I actually have enjoyed the Casita just as much as any thing bigger we have owned. RvBella

RE: Need Advise on Glacier National Park

I prefer the west side. More natural beauty. Nothing wrong with taking your car around to the other side to sight see. What type of place do you like to stay? Do you like the campfire/smore type camping or do you want full hook up's wifi pull thru's? You have several options on the west side, so let me know which type of camping you like to do....... Camping or Rv-ing? Depending on how late in Sept your going, the fall colors can be spectacular! hmmmmmm, What to see...... Well this also depends on when in Sept you are going to be there. Some of the Hotels start closing up somewhere around the 22nd..... Each of them are worth checking out. And any of the natural beauty is worth seeing over and over. As far as where to hike etc, Depending on your ability to hike up and down hill, LOL............... But I would wait and ask when you get there, cause sometimes different wildlife is spotted in certain area's and you don't want to miss seeing them as well as certain hiking trails get closed etc. Again, depending on when you will be there. I really suggest the Red Bus Tour's. Can't beat them. Sure you can drive, but honestly if you drive yourself over Going to the sun you the driver won't see much ,cause your focusing on the road. Relax and take at least the Red Bust Tours. The Driver's have been coming back year after year to work there and they are a wealth of knowledge about the park. Belton Chalet is a must do dinner, as well as the town of Big Fork (at the top of Flat head.) Enjoy, it's beautiful there! Bella

RE: Weight Tragedy

It's such a sad story, My heart goes out to the family and friends. It makes you want to be an advocate of the safety issues. I know it's been beat into us to know these things, but when it comes to our adventures we let the fun get in the way of what really counts. Be safe everyone! Bella

RE: Mods: Suggested Action For certain Subjects

And Robin, you get the trophy for being the first one to dis my post by ignoring my statement that IT WAS A JOKE!!!!! Congratulations!! http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u122/javaseuf/donkey.jpg height=150 width=150 And those that think they know it all, irritate people like me that do.:B Please "give me a break", my friend. The thread was meant to be humorous and you have taken it much to seriously. :B But I do appreciate your contribution to my thread. Thanks! Amazing, That you know my name, javaseuf! Since when is it a joke to slam people who may need help? I read your post, I am not stupid. But what I don't get is what you think is funny of making fun of someone's questions? Be they what you consider dumb or not. How would you feel if you came here to this forum to ask a question and the first post you see is a post slamming the very question you were gonna ask? All I am saying is think about it! Not very welcoming............. And as someone else pointed out all the reply's are from senior board members. I get that you as well as others don't like certain topic's. But hey that's what this forum is here for. Bella

RE: Mods: Suggested Action For certain Subjects

I am so flipping happy that all of you got it figured out! Give some people a break, I get that hearing about Walmart camping is over the top, and a few other topic's get played out till I could gag. My favorite is people who spend all this money on an rv....................... But the won't go "#1 or #2" in it.......... Whatever! But what I am trying to get at is, there are people who come to this web site seeking help. If you don't like the topic, scroll on by. Some people wouldn't ever be able to ask a fellow camper about something because they don't want people to think their idiots. So let them ask here. Why make fun of them? I don't get it. I have been camping and rving all my life and I sure don't know it all. Why would you think you do? Bella

RE: more seems to be the answer

We just took a over 1600 mile round trip to pick up our new to us Casita. From what I saw on the highways, I don't know where everyone thinks rv-ing/camping is slowing down. Ton's of rigs of all sizes on the roads between Colorado and Vegas. A few empty spots at the campground in Richfield Utah, but hey it was in the middle of nowhere Utah. And I must say, I am not a huge fan of KOA's but the KOA in Richfield Utah is a beautiful little park. Not easy to find, But sweet little place. I didn't go into the bathrooms but I would say if they are kept as nice as the campground they would be nice and clean. Bella

RE: Taking my first trip in 5 days! HELP!

CrazyFeet, Cloths,........... LOL I only say that cause one time Dh was in such a hurry for a guys fishing/camping trip. He forgot his! Of course all the food, fishing poles and booze made the trip! The only thing that saved him was they stopped at a lake a few hours before getting to the remote lake they were going to, got wet, went to change and saw that he left his duffle bag behind and was able to hit wallie world for the must have's Bedding Electric cord- just in case For gray water they make a tote that you can wheel to the dump station. I think that's the easiest way to go. Wallie World. Matches Door mat- Keeps the dirt and rock down............ You will still get dirt/sticks/rocks inside but they help. As far as your outdoor shower, It depends on the Campground rules! Crock pot if you wanted. Basically most appliances will be fine............ Just use one at a time! And don't forget appliances take up room for other things..... Keep minimal. And a pad of paper and a pen- so you can keep notes of things you want for your next trip. Mostly, you can live without a lot, it's just nice to have certain things along. Enjoy! Bella

RE: Please Help - IT'S AWEFUL!!!

I am the OP and let me clarify and answer all questions: 7) After we were pumped the tank sat for 5 days, not being used with no water and when we arrived on Saturday I filled it like I said above and we are still afraid to use it until we find this smell "No Water" could very well be one of your problems! As others have said, no water will let things dry out and start smelling! I am also one of those that doesn't understand not using the bathroom. But you certainly can do what you wish. But I will say, (since we are using numbers) #1 can smell up a black tank just as bad as #2 if not worse! Have you ever smelled a nasty urinal? Sour urine is not a pleasant smell. Good Luck! Just don't blame the smell on one poooooooooooo...............Bella

RE: Going to Glacier?

Even if you were going to Glacier tomorrow, You are still gonna see stuff. Going to the Sun road isn't the only thing to see there. There's over a million acres of stuff to see. The asphalt road is only one aspect of the park. And yes it's closed, but it wasn't open before the snow storm. It rarely opens before mid to the end of June. And it will get shut down on occasion because of snow fall even into the end of July, but that's only for a few hours so they can clear it for the safety of visitors. Some of the best things to see in Glacier are seen in the spring and fall (my Favorite). Before and after the crowds. Besides a little snow is not gonna hurt you............. Bella Here's the best way to see the Going to the Sun road. http://www.glacierparkinc.com/transportation.htm

RE: Were the CGs crowded this weekend?

Spoke with the people who bought our Park from us, last night. She said up until yesterday when a least 2 inches of snow fell. They were running neck and neck with the past 2 years. Where she has seen a slow down is in travelers going towards Alaska and Canada. But otherwise their normal for the time of year. She said, snow slowed people down, staying where they are and waiting for it to stop then coming on in. I have to agree with others it's a little early for campgrounds to be packed......... #1 the weather has been weird all over the country. You have kid's still in school, and all the graduations etc..... I think you have to give it a few weeks before you can really know how the season is going to be. I know the 2 big trips we have planned have been tough getting reservation for the specific nights we wanted. Bella

RE: ? about add on's, should we add this or should we add that?

Well, we didn't end up buying a new one........... And the one we bought doesn't have an outside shower. So after everyone posted all the positives of having one, I know I am gonna wish I had one. Thanks everyone for your help. Oh, buy the way. We ended up buying a little used Casita. It came up on craiglist last Sunday. We went and looked at it and ended up buying it. Since I don't care to tow..... the little Casita will get my feet wet with the whole towing experience. Thanks again. Bella

I understand the helpful info, but is there not a way to post a pic from just my pictures? Without having to set up a photobucket site? Thanks Bell
